In the city of Sochi, swastikas were painted over on the streets

On March 21, 2014, on the International Day against Racial Discrimination, a group of Sochi activists painted over inscriptions " containing appeals of a nationalist nature that incite ethnic hatred ."

The initiator of the raids was the Memorial Society. Activists painted over at least 50 graffiti and inscriptions and stickers. According to the estimates of the participants in the movement, over 150 such drawings have been destroyed in the last three years alone.

One of these symbols - a swastika with numerical codes encoded with pro-fascist slogans and appeals of Russian nationalists - was found at the main entrance to the Migration Service. Most of the drawings were found in the Central and Khostinsky districts of Sochi.

The protesters plan to report the results of their monitoring of neo-Nazi graffiti to the police and administration.

Raids through the streets of Sochi began in March. Activists, having found a racist inscription, immediately photographed it and recorded its location.
