A criminal case has been opened in Orenburg over the distribution of a banned book.

In early April 2014, a criminal case was opened in Orenburg for distributing "extremist literature."

At the beginning of April 2014, the Oktyabrsky Interdistrict Department of the Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the Orenburg Region announced that, based on the results of an inspection conducted by the Center "E" of the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the regional prosecutor's office, a criminal case was initiated against a 48-year-old resident under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity).

It is reported that this is " the second episode of the criminal activity of the villager. The first fact was revealed in December 2013. "

The man is suspected of distributing a book from the Federal List of Extremist Materials. He published information about the book in the local newspaper. He distributed the publication among friends and acquaintances. Unfortunately, it is not clear from the message of the prosecutor's office which publication is being referred to.
