Social media video case brought to court

In April 2014, in the Vladimir region, a case was filed against an underage Internet user for posting xenophobic videos on a social network.
The Investigative Committee of the Vladimir Region completed the investigation of the criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (incitement of hatred and enmity on the grounds of race and nationality committed in public). A 17-year-old resident of the city of Strunino will appear before the court.

According to Seldcom, " at the age of 15, a young man registered on a social network under a pseudonym, positioning himself as a skinhead ." In December 2012, the suspect posted videos with " extremist content " on the VKontakte social network. The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to Aleksandrovsky city court for consideration on the merits.

In February 2013, a young man participated in a group robbery and beating of a man of non-Slavic appearance. Currently, the suspect is in custody in a Moscow detention center, where he is awaiting a verdict in this case. We know about one attack in the Vladimir region. We are talking about a racist attack on a native of Uzbekistan in October 2013.
