Freedom of speech in a “besieged fortress.” Discussion at the Sakharov Center

On March 25, 2014, a seminar was held at the Sakharov Center, the theme of which was defined as "Freedom of Speech in the 'Besieged Fortress'".

The seminar, held as part of a joint project between the Sakharov Center and Agentura.ru, was attended by Director of the Institute for the Study of New Media at King's Colleg Sam Green (via Skype), Head of the SOVA Information and Research Center Alexander Verkhovsky, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Agentura.Ru Irina Borogan, legal analyst of the Agora Interregional Human Rights Association Damir Gainutdinov, Vice President of the Center for Political Technologies Alexei Makarkin. The event was hosted by the editor-in-chief of Agentura.Ru Andrey Soldatov.
