The case of a xenophobic poem on the VKontakte network has been brought to court

In April 2014, a criminal case was brought to court in Krasnoyarsk on posting an "extremist" poem on the social network VKontakte.

In April 2014, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnoyarsk Territory completed an investigation into a criminal case against a 35-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk, accused under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity).

The investigation established that in 2013 a resident of Krasnoyarsk posted on his personal page on the VKontakte social network " a poem of extremist content, in which there were calls for hostility, humiliation of the human dignity of representatives of certain nationalities ."

The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
