In Karelia, attackers broke into a temple belonging to the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad. Only the antimension was stolen, without which it is impossible celebrate the liturgy.
On the night of April 18, 2014, unknown people broke into the temple of the mission ROCOR in the village of Reboly, Muezersky district of Karelia, and stole an antimension (plate with sewn up particles of relics, on which the liturgy is performed - Ed.) . More nothing was taken from the temple.
Witnesses claim that on the eve of the incident, a bearded man in a car who was interested in the location of the temple. Local residents believe that it was a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Without an antimension, it will be impossible to celebrate Easter worship. Parishioners believe that the attackers deliberately deprived them of holiday service.
