In Udmurtia, the author of extremist inscriptions found on the territory of a mosque in the Syumsinsky district was convicted.

May 26, 2014 it became known that the Syumsinsky District Court of the Udmurt Republic passed a sentence under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred) V against Roman Zhevlakov (born 1990), who left extremist inscriptions on the territory of the mosque.

The court found that in February 2014 the young man " out of a feeling of hatred for the representatives certain nationalities, being near the mosque of the village of Kilmez Syumsinsky district, made inscriptions on the snow containing information aimed at incitement of hatred and enmity, humiliation of human dignity on the grounds of nationality and provoking incitement of interethnic hatred and enmity on the basis of nationality .

R. Zhevlakov was sentenced to 150 hours of compulsory works. The verdict has not entered into force.
