The book "Caution, Extremism!" has been published.

The Voronezh Center for the Protection of Media Rights published the book "Caution, extremism!"

Research carried out by lawyers Margarita Ledovskikh and Aidar Sultanov in collaboration with the director of the SOVA center Alexander Verkhovsky, devoted to the analysis of anti-extremist legislation and practice its application.

The reader gets the opportunity to get acquainted with the principles of international rights in the field of combating extremism, the Russian law on countering extremism and related articles of the criminal and administrative codes, as well as how it is assessed by Russian and foreign legal experts and human rights activists, including members of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, judges of the Russian Supreme Court, Russian Ombudsman. The authors analyze in detail the practice enforcement of anti-extremism legislation in Russia and, among other things, dwell on the problem of expert opinions, designed to evaluate texts for the presence or absence of signs in them extremism.
