Madrasahs closed in Kazan

The prosecutor's office and Rospotrebnadzor conducted an inspection of the madrasah under the Zangar mosque in Kazan and revealed many violations: the mosque did not have a license for educational activities, sanitary and epidemiological standards are not observed, a forbidden book was found in the madrasah. As a result, the madrasah ceased its activities.

June 4, 2014 it became known about the closure of the madrasah at the Kazan mosque Zangar.

The prosecutor's office of the Vakhitovsky district of Kazan appealed to the court with a lawsuit to ban the educational activities of the madrasah as illegal.

The inspection carried out by the prosecutor's office and Rospotrebnadzor showed that the mosque was engaged in educational activities, without having the appropriate licenses. Sanitary and epidemiological violations were revealed in the madrasah requirements.

Cases were initiated against the imam of the mosque under Part 1 of Art. 19.20 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (carrying out activities not related to making a profit, without special permission (license)) and art. 6.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation legislation in the field of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population).

The court fined the imam 30 thousand rubles under Part 1 of Art. 19.20 Administrative Code RF. The second case is pending.

In addition, the imam was issued a warning about the inadmissibility violations of federal legislation on countering extremist activities in terms of the mass distribution of extremist materials: in the madrasah A book was discovered that was included in the Federal List of Extremist materials.

The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan began considering the claim of the prosecutor's office, after which the leadership of the mosque decided to close the madrasah.
