At a meeting of the heads of security agencies and special services of the CIS countries on June 5 in Minsk, Mr. Bortnikov promised to "harshly" react to attempts to seize power in the CIS countries.

It is against them that the struggle in all countries of the CIS will be waged by national intelligence services under the obsessive leadership of the Russian. Bortnikov confirmed that "the efforts of the special services are primarily aimed at the prevention of such offenses in order to prevent the outcome of legal opposition activity into a radical component." The interaction of the Chekists from the CIS countries will continue. The next meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Bodies will be held at the end of this year in Kazakhstan. There is no doubt that the main goal of this close interaction will not be the exchange of experience and information, but the informal submission of the special services of these countries to Lubyanka. After all, Bortnikov clearly explained: we will react hard to attempts to seize power in your countries. You are our brothers, and we will take care of you. You can’t get away from our fraternal embrace, we will rather strangle you in them than let go for an independent life.
