Krasnodar: criminal case of inciting national and religious hatred on social networks

In June 2014 in the city of Krasnodar against a 50-year-old local resident a criminal case was initiated under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code for posting on a social network xenophobic texts.

June 20, 2014 in the city of Krasnodar, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national and religious hatred).

The case was launched against a 50-year-old local resident who is accused of that last year he published on his page on the social network some texts calling for violence against representatives of one of the ethnic groups and followers of one of the religious denominations.

The issue of choosing a measure of restraint for the suspect is being decided.
