Based on denunciation: administrative prosecution of Jehovah's Witnesses

In Krasnoyarsk, a Jehovah's Witness is accused of distributing extremist materials.

On June 23, 2014, it became known that in the Sovetsky District Court Krasnoyarsk is considering the case of an administrative offense under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution of extremist materials), initiated in regarding Jehovah's Witness Alexander Evdoshenko.

Yevdoshenko is accused of handing over to citizen Nagovitsyn, who was present at the service, a copy of the book “What He Really Teaches Bible?” included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials.

The case was initiated after a statement written by Nagovitsyn himself - about which, in particular, it is known that he is the chairman of the so-called committee for the rehabilitation of victims affected by sects.

Yevdoshenko denies the transfer of the book. In addition, according to indications witnesses, May 18, 2014 (date indicated in Nagovitsyn's statement), the latter was not present at the service at all.

The hearing is scheduled for June 24, 2014.

As a reminder, we consider the persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses and the banning of their texts for extremism unlawful and perceive it as religious discrimination.
