In Krasnodar, suspects in a pogrom at a pizzeria have been charged

In the Krasnodar region, suspects in the pogrom at the Master Pizza pizzeria have been charged with hooliganism.

In June 2014, in Krasnodar, eleven people detained on suspicion of involvement in an attack on a pizzeria on the night of May 11, 2014 and beating its visitors were charged under Article 213 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism).

Let us remind you that as a result of the pogrom in the pizzeria, eight people sought medical help, one of whom, 26-year-old native of Adygea Timur Ashinov, died in the hospital. On the night of May 16, the relatives of the deceased blocked the highway at the entrance to Krasnodar demanding that those responsible be found and punished. Eleven people have been identified as being involved in the attack on people in the pizzeria.

Two people are under recognizance not to leave, nine people are in custody. “ A charge has been brought under the article “hooliganism,” but so far we are not ready to comment on this matter, we still have to determine who beat whom, there is still a lot of work to be done ,” said a representative of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory.

On October 24, 2014, the head of the investigative department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory reported that 19 people were accused in this case. “19 people have been charged with hooliganism, two of them were detained just the other day. It is also known that five more people participated in the attack, three of whom have already been put on the wanted list ,” he explained.

A public commission has been formed in Adygea, which, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, is monitoring the investigation of the criminal case, said the head of the public organization “Adyge Khase” of the Krasnodar Territory, Asker Sokht.

“The investigation is considering a version of a domestic conflict. On the other hand, information reaches me that this is not entirely true. When such situations occur, similar and similar topics begin to be actively discussed, information is received that such incidents have happened before,” noted the head of “Adyghe Khase.”

Earlier, the Adyghe Khase organization put forward a version that the cause of the conflict was national hatred. Investigative authorities believe that the cause of the attack was an interpersonal conflict (the owner of the establishment refused the offered security services for the premises).
