Patriarch Kirill on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Gennady Zyuganov awarded the leader of the Russian communists with a church order.
On June 26, 2014, it became known that the Patriarch of Moscow and of All Rus', Kirill awarded the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov with the Order of Glory and Honor (III degree). The order was awarded in connection with the 70th anniversary of the politician.
"As one of the most famous politicians of modern Russia, you strive to take care of the welfare of the people and protect traditional moral values ,” the congratulation says.
The patriarch expressed confidence that the activities the main communist of the country will contribute to the "promotion of socially significant initiatives and moral transformation of society" .
