The historian of literature Alexander Galushkin died

Today, July 22, at the age of 54, the literature historian Alexander Galushkin died in Moscow, the head of the Literary Heritage Department of the Institute of World Literature named after A.M. Gorky Russian Academy of Sciences (IMLI).

Alexander Yuryevich Galushkin was born in 1960, graduated from Moscow State University (1982), candidate of philological sciences (the dissertation “Discussion of B. Pilnyak and E. Zamyatin in the context of literary policy of the late 1920s-early 1930s”, RSU, 1997).

In the 1980s, he was a member of the professional committee of writers who, which at that time in the CCCR of state structures, was engaged in the history and source of Russian literature of the 1910s and 1930s, in particular, in the 1983-84, as a literary secretary, participated in the work of Viktor Shklovsky on a study on the history of the formal school in Russian literary criticism of the 1920s.

Since 1988, IMLI is a researcher at the bibliography and source studies department, a senior researcher at the departments of the latest Russian literature and the Literary Heritage, and the head of the literary inheritance department.
