Russia stood on the war path. No spells such as “this is impossible”, “why is it necessary”, “they will not dare” or “What are they completely crazy?” They do not cancel the obvious fact that in solving international problems the Kremlin is really relied only on military force. And these are not the problems when there is no other way out and the country should stand under the gun in order to protect its freedom and independence. These are the problems that in the civilized world are solved by peaceful means - whether it is trade, interethnic, economic, linguistic, diplomatic and even territorial problems. The Kremlin does not refuse peaceful means, but, apparently, consider them children's games, but the real answer of the adult country to challenge time is a military answer.
Hence the funny eclecticism when the Kremlin mixes the war and the world in one bottle. The 2008 war in Georgia took place under the sign of "coercion to the world." Assistance of the east of Ukraine is called the "humanitarian convoy." Where in Russia and without a convoy?
280 trucks left Naro-Fominsk today towards Ukraine. According to the assurances of the authorities, they carry two thousand tons of cargo, which neither journalists nor representatives of the public saw. What they loaded there - tents and blankets or mortars and grenades - it is unknown. The convoy can freely enter Ukraine through those sections of the Ukrainian-Russian border that are controlled by militants.
The doubts that the trucks are really a humanitarian is quite justified. On the road from the cars, state numbers were removed, but photos and videos of trucks were posted on the Internet before going on the road. They have black military numbers with code 76, under which cars of the Ural Military District drive, and with code 50, which belongs to the Moscow Military District. If it were a column of the Ministry of Emergencies, as the authorities assure, then there would be numbers with code 18 on trucks.
But even if there is really a civilian load, and not a military man, there is some kind of extraordinary demonstrative cynicism in this. With one hand, the Kremlin exports death to Ukraine, the other - humanitarian help. Such a perverted fun is to be a destroyer, and look like a savior. It is clear that Ukraine refuses such assistance. If you want to help, stop sending the militants weapons, military instructors, pear and mercenaries.
A widely declared humanitarian action has propaganda meaning. It is designed to show the extraordinary breadth of the Russian soul, noble unwillingness and condescension to enemies. From all this, the layman will flood the combustible tears of pity for himself, complaining of our eternal impracticality and too good attitude to those who are not enough to shoot. This will immediately distract him from the idea that Russia acts as an aggressor, and will bring to pleasant thoughts about a special, difficult and sacrificial historical path.
Outside of Russia, the focus with humanitarian aid did not impress anyone. Even if Putin pulls a pigeon from the sleeve, and not a gun, no one will believe in the sincerity of his intentions. Those times have passed.
It remains only to understand that the war on the world cannot be prevented. No need to look in Putin in the eye to be pleasant to be deceived, as Bush Jr. did in 2001. Such self -deceptions are too expensive for everyone. Including Russia, which Putin with his environment stubbornly drags in a baking of a great war. These people respect only strength, and only response to apply it can stop the impending disaster.
