In the Tver region, unknown people poured water on a dedicated family Roerichs memorial plate with black paint. The incident was preceded by the refusal of the head of the city to cooperate with the Roerich Society.
On August 14, 2014, it became known that in July in Bologoy, attackers poured black paint on a stone with a plate fixed on it with the phrase of Nicholas Roerich: “In Bologoy, on the estate of Prince P.A. Putyatina, I met Lada, a companion and mastermind. Joy!"
The vandals wrote "Hell" on the stone.
This stone is considered by the locals as a monument of love. For two weeks before the act of vandalism, representatives of the Roerich Society changed the stove to stone.
The city administration promised to install help with the installation of a new stone, but then the head of the city refused to cooperate with fans of creativity Roerichs, referring to the opinion of an Orthodox priest.
This is not the first act of vandalism against objects associated with the Roerichs, in the Tver region.
