In Bologoy (Tver region), the head of the city refused to support the program "The Roerichs and the Tver Region", referring to the opinion of the representative Tver diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.
In mid-August 2014, it became known that the head Bologoy, at the insistence of an Orthodox priest, refused to cooperate with Tverskaya regional Roerich public organization.
Representatives of this organization planned within the framework of cultural and educational of the Roerichs and the Tver Region program to update the commemorative plate with a quote from N. Roerich: “...In Bologom in the estate of Prince P.A. Putyatina, I met Lada, a companion and mastermind. Joy!" The newlyweds visited the stone with this plate as monument of love.
In April 2014, the head of Bologoye, Valentin Gavrilov, promised to support the project of the Roerich Society, said that the city administration provide a suitable stone for the slab, and ordered the preparation of the site to install a new stone.
However, in July the mayor refused to support the project, referring to the opinion of the dean of the Bologovsky district, Archpriest Vasily Saplings.

Two weeks after installation, unknown people poured black paint and wrote the word "hell" on the stone.
