On August 20, 2014, the prosecutor's office of the Polessky district of the Kaliningrad region announced that it had supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 26-year-old local resident.
The case was initiated in March 2014 based on the results of a prosecutor's check.
The court found that in September 2012, the father of four minor children on the social network "VKontakte" on his page under a pseudonym in the public domain " posted the text and accompanying drawings containing calls for violent actions " in relation to the natives of Central Asia, as well as " symbols of Islam and Judaism, placed in ovals separated by a strip, reminiscent of prohibition road signs; the image of a Celtic cross ".
The court found the man guilty of committing a crime under part 1 of article 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities), and, given the presence of young children, sentenced him to a fine of 50,000 rubles.
The verdict did not enter into force. Sources
