“Anti-sectarian” action in Ivanovo

An “anti-sectarian” action was held in Ivanovo, prepared by youth movement "New frontier". The protesters were unable to explain what "sects" are protesting.

In mid-August, in Ivanovo, activists of the youth movement "New frontier” held an action “Say no to sects”.

Those who gathered on Pushkin Square were holding posters “Stop sect!”, “Do not join a sect.” In addition, activists collected signatures in support of "anti-sectarian" amendments to the current legislation.

The journalists of the Gubernia program of the local TV channel tried to find out from the picketers what specific "sects" they are against and what exactly these "sects" are dangerous. Most of the respondents could not answer the questions, only one of the activists he mentioned "Jehovists" - Jehovah's Witnesses.
