A businessman who cut through an additional entrance in the Main Post Office is challenging the order of the Committee for the Protection of Monuments in court. Businessman Roman Rodionov is challenging the order of the Pskov Region State Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites in the city court. As Anton Zarutsky, deputy chairman of the committee, said, the entrepreneur is trying to prove that he received an order from the state committee to suspend work after he had finished them. The protocol was drawn up in connection with the fact that Roman Rodionov did not comply with the order to suspend work. So, on April 8, 2014, employees of the State Committee learned about the fact that work was being carried out in the building of the Main Post Office, and an order was issued to suspend these works almost immediately. It was sent by registered mail, Roman Rodionov received it on April 16th. In court, Rodionov's representative presented an act of work performed, according to which they were completed on April 14, that is, two days before receiving the order. “Although, in fact, work continued there, this was confirmed by employees of the Main Post Office. But the defendant's representative regards these witnesses as interested parties, and, in his opinion, there is no way to trust them, ”said Anton Zarutsky. As a result, the order of the State Committee was not executed, the work was continued, a separate entrance was erected. Later, the businessman was given an order to dismantle the building until August 31, since it was erected without the consent of the State Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects. R. Rodionov did not comply with this order, but he did not challenge it in court either. Meanwhile, on April 16, Roman Rodionov commented to the PLN on the construction of an additional entrance to the Main Post Office building. He assured that in two weeks, that is, by the end of April, all work would be completed, the decorative banner, which was installed for aesthetic reasons, would be removed. The customer of the work undertook to improve the territory: remove all debris, plant a new lawn and lay paving stones. / PLN
