In early September 2014, an individual entrepreneur in Chechnya was found guilty of distributing the book "Fortress of a Muslim" and fined.
On September 9, 2014, the persecution became known an individual entrepreneur from the Chechen Republic Islam Bashlaev under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution of extremist materials). September 8 court found Bashlaev guilty of committing an administrative offense and fined.
An administrative case was opened by the prosecutor's office of the Chechen Republic, based on the results of an audit carried out by the prosecutor's office of the Chechen Republic and the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Chechen Republic. Bashlaev was charged possession of several copies of the book "Fortress of the Muslim", included in Federal list of extremist materials.
Recall that the book "Fortress Muslim" was recognized as extremist among other books, prohibited by the Leninsky District Court of Orenburg in March 2012. We consider this decision of the court unlawful. "Fortress Muslim" is a collection of prayers for various occasions and does not contain any signs of extremism.
Accordingly, this administrative case, from our point of view view, was also filed wrongfully.
