Residents of north-east Moscow protest against the construction of churches

In the North-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow protest against the construction of Orthodox churches in the parks. share tried to disrupt the "Orthodox activists."

On September 9, 2014, a rally was held against the construction temples in the Jamgarka and Torfyanka parks and the transfer of the Red Carpet square to use of the Orthodox parish. Among the participants were residents of SVAO, representatives of the Yabloko party, Generation Plus youth organization, candidate to the deputies of the Moscow City Duma Svetlana Savitskaya.

The participants of the action held posters: “Do not put an end to our park!”, “Temples are above the law?!”, “Park - yes, construction site - no”, “Hands off our parks.

The resolution of the rally contains demands for the abolition of resolutions of the Moscow government on the transfer of land for the construction of churches, cessation of construction work in the Jamgarka and Torfyanka parks, resignation of the prefect SVAO V. Vinogradov and bringing to justice officials who allowed violation of the law.
