Because of the events in Ukraine, the Russians nationalists found themselves in a very difficult position, since they did not have a single positions on the Ukrainian issue. As a result, in their already not very slender a new split occurred in the ranks, rather unexpectedly reshuffling the existing relationship system.
Leaders speak loudest in public operating organizations. As expected, a large majority of those approve the annexation of Crimea and the "Russian Spring". It was fun to watch how the rhetoric of such publicist politicians as Eduard Limonov (The Other Russia) and Yegor Prosvirnin (website "Sputnik and Pogrom") was getting closer and closer to the point vision broadcast by the mainstream media. For the "Russian spring" are also opposition Konstantin Krylov (National Democratic Party), and 100% loyal Alexei Zhuravlev (Rodina party), and militant National Stalinist Vladimir Kvachkov (People's Militia named after Minin and Pozharsky, NOMP), and Honored Nazi Dmitry Bobrov (National Socialist Initiative, NSI), and others. They all see the conflict in Ukraine as a struggle between Russians and Ukrainians and with the West, so that “their own” in the Donbass are supported even by those who considers the Russian regime anti-Russian.
Opponents of the "Russian Spring" turned out to be significantly less. Among them are most of the leaders of the Association "Russians" and their allies - Dmitry Demushkin, Alexander Belov, St. Petersburg Dmitry (Mad) Yevtushenko and others. Paradoxically, their statements turned out to be similar to statements of the hateful liberal opposition. These nationalists believe that it is better for both Russians and Ukrainians not to live under an "anti-Russian regime", so even the Kiev authorities are preferable, and better - independence.
However, the majority in movement of Russian nationalists are autonomous militant nationalists, not affiliated with any political organization. Not in their ranks either. no agreement on Ukraine. In addition to the two already mentioned positions among among them, the third is widespread, in which the conflict in Ukraine is understood as a result of Zionist conspiracy against the Slavs. So some see "Novorossia" as resistance of the Kyiv oligarchy. Others consider the inhabitants of the East of Ukraine "quilted jackets" and "scoops" and rather support Kyiv in this war. Connection option The East of Ukraine towards Russia is viewed extremely negatively, since it is assumed that the arrivals will join the ranks of "vegetables" and fans of the regime Putin. Among the Nazi-autonomous people there is also a widespread opinion that “for the quilted jackets” fighting mainly Chechens sent from Russia, whose death is only welcomed.
However, political debate many are not satisfied. Some of the nationalist organizations provide “humanitarian aid”, which, in addition to food, cigarettes and clothing, includes military equipment and, apparently, weapons. However, such “humanitarian aid” who now just does not collect, and some nationalists cooperate in this matter with official structures, such as the leader of the "Shield Moscow" Alexey Khudyakov.
And the most active left for Ukraine, to personally participate in hostilities. According to very rough estimates, the nationalists, fighting for "Novorossia" - at least 200 people, including "non-registered" Cossacks, maybe even significantly more.
First of all, they went to Ukraine members of more or less organized associations. Among volunteers from Russia, who took an active part in the events in Kharkov and Odessa, now fighting in the East, activists of the Russian National Unity (RNU) were seen Alexander Barkashov, Eurasian Youth Union (ESM), focusing on Alexander Dugin, Russian Imperial Movement (RID) Stanislav Vorobyov, etc., although even individual members of organizations that did not support the “Russian spring."
Actively participate in combat actions of St. Petersburg nationalists. One of their group (Kirill Rimkus, Alexey (Fritz) Milchakov, Dmitry Deineko and others) was later transformed into a detachment special forces "Batman" consisting of formations of the Lugansk Republic. Sputnik was openly called to join this group. and pogrom” and sites around football.
Of course, war cannot be done without "Other Russia", whose activists also appeared on the Ukrainian fronts (Rostislav Zhuravlev, Igor Shchuka and others). Particularly distinguished are members of the Cossack associations such as Donskoy activists the Cossack troops of Nikolai Kozitsyn, who seized control in Anthracite, or "Wolf Hundred" from the village of Belorechenskaya, Krasnodar Territory with famous in Media Alexander (Babai) Mozhaev.
Some of the nationalists be assigned to certain groups only conditionally. For example, Orlovets Anton Raevsky, "famous" after publishing on the Internet his photographs with a swastika tattooed on his chest, he was a member of the NSI three years ago Bobrov, left with a scandal and then in Orel participated in the activities of the Black hundreds”, from which, however, was excluded in May 2014 after it became known about his exploits in Odessa. Then Raevsky began collecting on the Internet money for military ammunition and went to fight.
Mostly fighting in Ukraine ideological, but "non-party" Russian nationalists, including veterans of various wars (Chechen and even Afghan), as well as retired military men, that is, not only young Nazis, but also well-trained to military conditions adults. Many of them are or have been previously associated with RNU and Cossack organizations traditionally active in regions close to borders of Ukraine, engaged with their members in military training and passed through thousands of young people in the 90s.
Exaggerate the influence of these organizations not worth it. For example, on the Internet widely disseminated photograph of a group of 30 armed men in front of a flag RNE. However, it is far from certain that the majority of these people actually belonged to RNE, but did not join them, already going to war.
About the nationalists fighting on the other side, it is known many times less, and they themselves are an order of magnitude smaller. In July, a well-known colleague arrived in Kyiv recently convicted Maxim (Tesak) Martsinkevich Roman (Zukhel) Zheleznov. There he announced his intention to obtain Ukrainian citizenship and lead the Russians Nazis fighting in the Azov battalion, although it is not clear how many of them there are. Choice battalion is not accidental, since its backbone constitutes the neo-Nazi "Social-National Assembly".
Companion Zheleznov Mikhail Oreshnikov, also fled to Ukraine, illustrates the process of creating even some cross-border structures, namely the neo-Nazi Misanthropic grouping division. More than a dozen of its members are fighting in Azov, and earlier members of the group took an active part in clashes in Kharkov and other cities.
Among the Russian ultra-right there are already and victims of this war. RIM activist Sergey Efremov died on the Ukrainian fronts, leader of the SFD branch in the ESM, "Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPR" and adviser to Governor Gubarev Alexander Proselkov, head of the royal branch of the DPNI Sergei Vorobyov, Cossack Nikolai Leonov, activist of the Togliatti group "Other Russia" and former NOMP activist Ilya Guryev. On the other hand in Sergei (Balagan) who fought in Azov died in the suburbs of Donetsk Greek.
Thus, there are now a significant number of Russians in Ukraine right-wing radicals. If previously they were active in social networks, reenactment circles and at various military sports training camps, now gain combat experience. After the end of the conflict, most of them will inevitably return to Russia. And the dream of a “Russian rebellion” or a “white revolution” will be it doesn't seem so fantastic. So, another consequence of this war, will probably become a sharp activation of right-wing radicals already in the very Russia. Sources
