Mari El: Fine for the song “Heroes of R.O.A.” on social networks

In early October 2014, a court in Mari El fined Nikolai Lozhkin, a 23-year-old resident of the village of Medvedevo, for the song "Heroes of R.O.A." in the social network "VKontakte".

In early October 2014, the Medvedevsky District Court of the Republic of Mari El considered an administrative offense case against a local resident. The case was initiated after a prosecutor's check conducted with the participation of employees of the Center "E" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Mari El.

It has been established that Nikolai Lozhkin, a 23-year-old resident of the village of Medvedevo, on the VKontakte website on the Internet, on his personal page in the public domain, posted the song "Heroes of R.O.A." .

The court found Lozhkin guilty under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of extremist materials). The court fined Lozhkin 1,000 rubles.
