The management of the Ufa club "Agava", where he was supposed to pass concert "Cannibal Corpse", canceled the performance, citing technical problems. Journalists think that the decision of the directorate was influenced by the protests of the Orthodox.
On October 5, 2014, the concert of the Cannibal Corpse group at the Agava club was canceled in Ufa. IN technical problems at the concert venue were cited as the reason.
Shortly before this, protests took place in the city, organized by the Orthodox. According to the head of the missionary department Ufa diocese of Vadim Rosenfeld, a group of believers held a picket in the form of a flash mob, performing songs of Russian rockers, “ a little bit of Aria, a little Shevchuk", but did not demand the abolition performances: “ We wanted to contrast this darkness that sings here this group, real, from our point of view, rock music. We then distributed leaflets in which there were translations of these songs, in particular, songs "Necrophilus", "Priests of Sodom", those that can be found on group website.
The leaflets were translations of texts from "Cannibal Corpse" taken from one of sites. “ When they come up with a call to rape babies, kill people, to copulate with the dead are not just texts. As a sectarian, I assure you that this leaves a very serious mark on the human psyche, and the psyche is being transformed ,” said V. Rosenfeld.
Art director of the club "Agava" admitted that he knew "what direction the lyrics of Cannibal Corpse", so he did not want to spoil the reputation of the club. They promised to return the money to the spectators who did not get to the concert.
Recall that earlier representatives of Orthodox organizations called for disrupting the tour of the group in Russia.
