The court of second instance satisfied the appeal of representatives of the Kazakh video hosting www.kiwi.kz against the decision of the Pyatigorsk city court, which recognized the hosting as extremist.
On October 16, 2014, it became known that the superior the court overturned the decision of the Pyatigorsk city court on the recognition extremist Kazakh video www.kiwi.kz. hosting
Representatives of the video hosting appealed against the decision of the court. According to them According to the counterclaim, the prohibited materials were removed, as well as the fact that representatives of kiwi.kz were not informed about the process.
Thus, the site should be excluded from the Federal list of extremist materials, and access to it in Russia is unblocked.
We welcome this decision of the court. Recall that video hosting was banned in a number of other similar sites, since the city prosecutor's office of Pyatigorsk found on it a video lecture by Sheikh Khalid Yassin recognized as extremist "Alien". Yasin's lecture was banned by the Leninsky District Court Krasnodar June 18, 2012 (see item 1455 of the Federal List extremist materials ). We consider this ban unlawful. Yassin really contrasts Islamic religiosity in this lecture temptations of the modern world and Western civilization, but does not preach violent way of conflict resolution. Recognition of sites as extremist because of one banned video, in our opinion, it looks absurd.
