Roskomnadzor blocked LJ.Russia

In mid-October 2014, blog hosting lj.rossia.org was added to the Unified Register of Banned Sites.

In mid-October 2014, it became known that the United the register of banned sites was added to bloghosting lj.rossia.org.

According to information on the website of Roskomnadzor, the basis for blocking was the decision of the court. According to the representative of the department Vadim Ampelonsky, meaning the decision of the Tashtagol city court of the Kemerovo area on May 29, 2013.

The material, recognized by this decision as extremist, was included in Federal list of extremist materials under item 2026, formulated thus: " A leaflet depicting a male Jewish nationality, holding the head of a Slavic girl with the text "You will following", which is in the materials of the criminal case No. 09340362 (in Tashtagol city court, the criminal case has the number 1-106/10) and Internet resources http://lj.rossia.org and http://ic.pics.livejournal.com ".

Obviously, the references listed in the Federal List are not allow you to determine what kind of material it is.

Ampelonsky argued that in the demand for removal prohibited content contained a specific page address, however the administration of lj.rossia.org did not comply with the requirement. At the same time, the founder LJ.Russia Mikhail Verbitsky said that the notification of Roskomnadzor spoke of blocking the entire service without specifying specific pages (copy Verbitsky posted the corresponding notification on his page). Besides, he noticed that lj.rossia.org does not have a mechanism for storing images.

On July 8, 2014, lj.rossia.org was already included in the registry for discovered post about giving bribes. However, the blocking of the service was carried out entirely only providers that do not have the technical ability to block specific pages and blocking access by IP addresses.

Recall that from our point of view, blocking the entire resource due to one material is impractical and illegal. From our point of view, it should enter in the register exactly the page that is recognized as extremist.
