Since the majority of performers in the film are students of the school of involved art created and led by members of the “WHAT” group, visually “excluded” resemble the cabbages that theater universities arrange. Given the fact that the artistic life in the Russian Federation over the past six to seven is rapidly moving towards simplification (the word is used here unzippedly) means, and sometimes meanings, all this looks quite in the spirit of general sentiments. In the film “What to do”, and along with the members of the group and all those comrades who helped to do it appear skeptics. It is characteristic that “excluded” begin with social networks, where we are all immersed, where we express our protest and find out what will not be reported anywhere else. It all starts on Facebook-Twitter and ends there. Cyberskeptics like Evgeny Morozov or Malcolma Gladell have long been actively actively acting, for whom the Internet is not a “solution to all the problems”, the solution that we have been waiting for so long - rather these are new problems. Well, that is, no optimism and euphoria. So, “what to do” in the film a lot of skepticism - about both protest, belief, art, and society.
