Hearings in the case of the Church of Scientology in Moscow suspended

October 22, 2014 the Moscow City Court decided to suspend hearings on the liquidation of the Church of Scientology in Moscow.

The court decided to wait for the entry into the force of the decision of the Izmailovsky Court of Moscow. Meeting on the claim of the Church of Scientology will be considered in the Izmailovsky Court 19 november.

Grounds for liquidation of the Moscow community, the Ministry of Justice sees in the discrepancy between the charter of a religious organization and the provisions of the law "On freedom conscience", as well as in violation of the declared borders - "activities organizations is conducted on the territory of St. Petersburg, although Moscow is indicated in the charter as a territorial sphere of activity. Church is trying to challenge the decision of the Ministry of Justice.
