October 2014 year it became known that a criminal case was initiated in Belgorod under Part 1 of Art. 1 st. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities).
The case was started against local far-right activist Roman Strigunkov, who headed the regional branch of the nationalist party "New strength” by Valery Solovyov and who was the organizer of the “Russian Marches” in Belgorod.
Unfortunately the details criminal cases were not reported.
Roman Strigunkov since 2013 he has been in Kyiv, where he came to support the Euromaidan. In Russia he was put on the federal wanted list, which became the reason for appealing to the Ukrainian authorities with a request for political asylum.
April 1, 2016 year R. Strigunkov reported that in recognition of his refugee status in Ukraine he was refused.
