On November 6, 2014, a court in Adygeya found a convict serving a sentence in a correctional colony guilty of mass distribution of extremist materials. The reason for the persecution was the book "A General View of Islam", which was recognized as extremist (in our opinion - illegally).

November 6, 2014 Magistrate's Court of Court District No. 1 Adygeysk recognized a convict serving a sentence in IK-1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Republic of Adygea, guilty under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution extremist materials) and sentenced him to a fine.

Administrative persecution was caused by the fact that when The book of Sheikh Ali Al-Tantawi was found and confiscated from the convict "General idea of ​​Islam", recognized as extremist material (item 750 of the Federal List of Extremist Materials), which the guilty gave for familiarization to other convicts.
