Orthodox residents of Bashkiria oppose the construction of a Muslim center on former church land.
November 11, 2014 it became known that parishioners of the Church of the Intercession in Ufa sent to the head Republic and the prosecutor a letter in which they oppose the construction Muslim business and leisure center "Muslim City" next to the church. Letter signed by 800 people.
The authors of the text argue that for the construction of the specified spiritual center Muslim administration was allocated 20 hectares of land, including a plot of 5 hectares, which was church land before the revolution. This area is currently all outbuildings of the parish are located: the baptismal, the building of the Sunday schools, prosphora, laundry, sacristy and warehouses. Believers fear that these buildings will be demolished.

Members Orthodox community sent a letter of similar content to the Central spiritual administration of Muslims of Russia. « What it will turn out if every religious organization claims to allocation of its zone on a religious basis?
