The Runet Council of Atheists is outraged by the provision of Moscow school premises to Sunday schools

The Council of Atheists of Runet is outraged by the permission to conduct classes Sunday schools on the premises of Moscow secondary schools and intends to achieve the same opportunities for atheist organizations.

On November 25, 2014, the Council of Atheists of Runet distributed application in connection with the permission to hold Sunday school classes in the premises of general education.

The authors of the statement expressed bewilderment at the “providing such preferences of one public organization, especially since it is religious, and such an action thereby violates the secular nature of education .

The Atheist Council intends to seek clarification from Department of Education of Moscow, as well as to ask for premises secondary schools to conduct educational atheistic events. Sources
