A sentence was passed in Bashkiria for creating a cell “Caucasus Emirate”

In Bashkiria, for the creation of a cell of the banned organization "Imarat Caucasus”, five people were convicted of robbery, theft and illegal acquisition of weapons.

On December 12, 2014, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan ruled conviction of 44-year-old Alfred Mukhametdinov, 28-year-old Ruslan Kurmangaleev, 31-year-old Artur Zagidullin, 29-year-old Marat Sharafutdinov, 25-year-old Denis Akhmetshin.

They were found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization extremist organization), Part 1 of Art. 209 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (banditry), part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery), part 3 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and carrying of firearms weapons), part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft) and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 10 to 13 years in a penal colony with limited freedom for a year and a half.

The court considers that A. Makhametdinov in 2012 created a cell "Imarat Caucasus”, where he involved the rest. Together they carried out anti-Russian propaganda on territory of Bashkiria and the Chelyabinsk region.

In addition, according to the court and the investigation, the defendants committed armed attack on a mail car, and also stole a cow from a 70-year-old a pensioner and robbed an employee of the quarry of Kremenkul Sands LLC.
