In Tambov, a case regarding the publication of xenophobic materials on VKontakte was sent to court

The prosecutor's office sent to court the case of a resident of Tambov, published on VKontakte materials humiliating Christians, Jews and the clergy.

On December 16, 2014, it became known that the prosecutor's office of Leninsky district of Tambov approved the indictment in the case of the 40-year-old Tambovchanina, accused under paragraph.n. "a" and "d" part 1 of Art. 282, (commission of public actions aimed at inciting hatred and enmity, as well as humiliating dignity of a person and a group of persons on the basis of nationality and attitude towards religion), paragraph "b" part 2 of Art. 242.1 (distribution, public display materials with pornographic images of minors, in relation to persons under the age of 14, using the Internet) and Part 3 of Art. 242 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal distribution of a public demonstration of pornographic materials using the Internet).

According to the investigation, in 2010-2013. the accused published on his page "VKontakte" in the public domain a film and 36 images, "containing words and expressions expressing hatred and enmity towards representatives of the Jewish and Christian religions, clergy and persons of Jewish nationality .

Conducted comprehensive religious studies and psycho-linguistic the examination concluded that the published materials humiliate Christians, Jews and clergy, incite religious hatred.

In addition, pornographic materials, including those with a scene of pedophilia.
