An investigation into the publication of xenophobic texts on the VKontakte network has been completed in Bashkiria.

In December 2014, a criminal case was initiated in the Republic of Bashkortostan against a 54-year-old resident of the city of Tuymazy, who published on the Internet xenophobic texts. In February 2015, the investigation of the case was completed and sent to the court for consideration on the merits.

In December 2014, in the city of Oktyabrsky, Republic of Bashkortostan, there were a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting a national hate).

The case was initiated against a 54-year-old doctor from the city of Tuymazy, who was accused of posting on social media in March and April 2013 network "VKontakte" several xenophobic texts calling for violence against ethnic Russians.

The suspect fully admitted his guilt.

In February 2015, the case was referred to the court for consideration on the merits.
