Sixteen books by Said Nursi banned

The prosecutor's office of Naberezhnye Chelny has achieved a ban on 16 books of the Turkish theologian in the Supreme Court of Tatarstan.

22 December 2014 Supreme court Republic of Tatarstan satisfied Office of Appeal Prosecutor's Naberezhnye Chelny and recognized as extremist 16 Turkish books theologian Said Nursi, issued Suzler publishing house. Later they were included in the federal list extremist materials under the number 2773.

The book by Mary Weld "Islam in modern Turkey", also published by Sӧzler and featured in the suit of the prosecutor's office, was not banned. The book Nursi "Guide for Youth", mentioned in the lawsuit, is not was banned, apparently, since it had already been previously recognized as extremist by the decision of the Naberezhnye Chelny City Court on April 22, 2014. Along with her, several more books by Nursi were banned; they made item 2395 of the Federal List:

Recall that we do not consider lawful the ban Nursi's works, which do not contain any extreme statements, as well as the organization "Nurcular", which in Russia is not existed. We oppose persecution of individual believers, studying the books of Nursi.
