An administrative case has been initiated in Novgorod for distributing the book “On the Path to the Koran” online.

A case was initiated against a resident of Novgorod under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for posting on a social network a link to a banned book by Elmira Kuliev.

December 24, 2014 Prosecutor's Office Novgorod region reported that against a resident of Novgorod, a citizen of Morocco, case was initiated under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution of extremist materials). The reason was the placement in the public domain on the social network "VKontakte" of a link to the electronic version of Elmir Kuliev's book "On the way to the Koran."

Remember, the book itself was banned. by the decision of the Kuibyshev court of Omsk, in addition, its electronic version by the decision of the Voskresensky district court of the Saratov region was recognized information prohibited for distribution on the territory of the Russian Federation.

From our point of view, labor Kuliyev was unlawfully recognized as extremist, since it does not contain any calls for violent action, and the prohibition of religious writings only because that their authors prove the exclusivity and superiority of their own religion over others, is contrary to both law and common sense.
