An investigation into the publication of xenophobic videos with calls for violence has been completed in Kurgan.

In January 2015, a criminal case was opened in Kurgan for xenophobic videos calling for violence.
On January 28, 2015, a criminal case was initiated in Kurgan against a 20-year-old resident of Kurgan, suspected under Part 1 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activity), part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred).

According to the investigation, from 2011 to 2014, the suspect posted on the social network VKontakte videos with insults and calls for violence against the natives of Central Asia and the Caucasus, as well as Jews and followers of Judaism. In addition, the materials contained propaganda of Nazi symbols and ideology of Nazism.

In May 2015, the case was referred to the court for consideration on the merits.   Sources
