The Novosibirsk portal Sibkrai.ru has succeeded in court overturning the warning issued by Roskomnadzor for material about the march for the federalization of Siberia.
At the end of January 2015, it became known that on January 22, 2015 the Central District Court of Novosibirsk satisfied the claim of the founder information portal Sibkray.ru and ordered Roskomnadzor to cancel warning issued to the portal on August 1, 2015 in connection with the publication of the march on the federalization of Siberia.
A warning was issued for the note "Democratization first of all. About the march for the Siberian Republic" (its author opposed the march), in which the department saw a public call for a change in the constitutional order and violation of the integrity of the Russian Federation.
Sibkray.ru appealed against the warning, and the Central District the court of Novosibirsk agreed with the conclusion of the forensic examination that the text was not contains signs of extremist activity.
As a reminder, from August 1, 2014 and throughout subsequent days, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, several dozen pages were blocked on the Internet, including pages from media sites, Russian and Ukrainian, as well as pages of users of social networks. The editorial offices of 14 major media received notification from Roskomnadzor demanding to remove the relevant materials from their pages.
We believe warnings issued by Roskomnadzor are unlawful.
