An administrative case has been initiated in Adygea regarding the demonstration of Kolovrat

A resident of the village of Tulsky, Maykop District, faces a fine under Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for a sticker with a Kolovrat on an automobile glass.

February 6, 2015 Prosecutor's Office The Republic of Adygea reported that the case was sent to the Maikop District Court according to part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda or public demonstration of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols, or paraphernalia or symbols of extremist organizations, or other paraphernalia or symbols, propaganda or public demonstration of which is prohibited by federal laws).

The case was brought against a resident of the village of Tulsky, Maykop District, who traveled through the territory republics on a car with a sticker in the form of Kolovrat on the rear window.

How did the prosecutor Maikop region, Kolovrat is similar to the swastika to the point of confusion. With our point of view, the case was unlawfully initiated, since Kolovrat is easily distinguishable from the swastika, and besides, it is not a symbol of a banned organization and its display is not prohibited by federal laws.

Recall that in 2013 a resident Volzhska (Mari El) was fined for wearing a bag of Kolovrat. It was not possible to challenge the fine, the decision was confirmed by the Supreme Court of the Republic.
