A Nizhny Novgorod resident is being persecuted for distributing materials from the "People's Will Army"

A criminal case has been initiated against the administrator of the group "Nizhny Novgorod for the right of the people to judge the authorities" in the social network "VKontakte".

How we became aware that on September 16, 2014 in Nizhny Novgorod criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of an extremist organization) against a local resident Pavel Butko.

Butko he is charged with the fact that he was the administrator of the group "Nizhny Novgorod for the right of the people to judge the government" in the social network "VKontakte", disseminating ideas and materials of the banned movement "Army of the Will of the People" (AVN) - organizations of the Stalinist-nationalist persuasion.

Recall from our point of view, the ban The AVN was wrong because the decision to recognize the movement as extremist was issued only on the basis of the prohibition of the leaflet "You chose - you judge!".

We do not consider the prohibition of this leaflet justified, and other activities of this organization were not significant enough to pose a public danger.

On February 9, 2015, the case against Butko was reclassified, but it is not entirely clear under which article he is now an accusation is made.
