Construction of a mosque in Ufa has been suspended

The construction of the Ufa Cathedral Mosque was stopped because the court ordered the investor company to pay the losses of another company.

On February 16, 2015, the Moscow Arbitration Court satisfied the claim OJSC AFK Sistema to LLC Ural-Invest for the recovery of damages in the amount of 70.7 billion rubles.

In connection with the possible bankruptcy of the charitable foundation "Ural" decided to suspend the construction of the cathedral mosque in Ufa, funded by the fund. Over the course of two years, the fund invested in construction of 1 billion rubles, by the beginning of 2015 the external facing works.

February 18, 2015 Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov said that the authorities are ready to continue construction and have already identified sponsors.
