In the Sverdlovsk region, a colony employee was fined for distributing extremist materials.
February 18, 2015 Prosecutor's Office of the Sverdlovsk Region reported that the head of the department for educational work with convicts FKU IK-2 The GUFSIN of Russia in the Sverdlovsk Region was fined 2,000 rubles under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution of extremist materials).
Recall reason for filing a case was the fact that in the premises of the mosque at the colony the book of ibn Hisham's "Biography of the Prophet Muhammad". This authoritative Muslim religious work of an Arab scholar of the ninth century was banned in March 2012 by the Leninsky district court of Orenburg among 67 other materials recognized as extremist automatically by association with a banned religious organization "Nurcular".
Recall this judgment is under review .
We consider it illegal as a ban on Muslim literature in Orenburg, and persecution for the distribution of these works.
