"Anti-Maidan"-2015 in Moscow

On February 21, 2015, an action of the Anti-Maidan movement took place in Moscow, which was attended by a number of nationalist organizations.

February 21, 2015, on the anniversary of the events on the Kiev Maidan in 2014 in Moscow and a number of other Russian cities hosted the Anti-Maidan action, organized by movement of the same name, whose leaders are a member of the Federation Council, Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian Public Organization of Veterans "Combat Brotherhood" Dmitry Sablin, leader biker club "Night Wolves" Alexander (Surgeon) Zaldostanov, co-chairman of the Great Fatherland party Nikolai Starikov.

The protesters marched from Strastnoy Boulevard along Petrovka to Revolution Square, where a rally took place. The number of events, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (which seems to us close to reality), amounted to 35 thousand people, organizers say about 50 thousand demonstrators.

The motto of the event was "Year of Maidan". We won't forget, we won't forgive!

Apart from the dominant flags of the National Liberation Movement (NOD), in fact movements "Anti-Maidan", "Combat Brotherhood", the parties "Great Fatherland" and "Union motorcyclists" (Surgeon)", the participants held the flags of the DPR and LPR, Russian tricolors.

Representatives of many other parties and movements. So, in the columns were representatives of the FNPR, student organizations, the Red Cross, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Liberal Democratic Party, the Patriots of Russia party, "Civil Platform", Party of Pensioners, "Green" parties, "Automotive Russia”, Search Movement of Russia, Party veterans of Russia, the Party of the Revival of Russia, the Union of Women of the Moscow Region, the movement "Green Russia", the association of the Non-State Security Sphere ("School without Danger", etc.), the fight club "Patriot", members of various sports associations and federations, etc.

It is worth noting the groups that came to participate in the Anti-Maidan from various regions of Russia; in addition to the traditional slogans for the action, the marchers held the flags of their republics and regions (Udmurtia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Kalmykia, Ingushetia, Ryazan region, etc.), the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia (TsDUM).

A large convoy that arrived from Chechnya stood out. Young men dressed in identical jackets - green, with the silhouette of Akhmat Kadyrov on the back, or blue - with silhouette of Putin, held banners with the name of the organization - "Patriotic Club Putin" - and banners of the same type.

In the forefront of the manifestation marched the Cossacks, for the most part who had come to action from the regions (the colorful column from Stavropol, dressed in cloaks and Circassians with gazyrs), members of veteran organizations (Russian Union of Veterans of Afghanistan, Union of Russian Paratroopers, Union of Veterans of Intelligence, Public organization "Officers of Russia").

Of the organizations traditionally classified as nationalist, one can note the party Rodina, Eurasian Youth Union, Sober Russia party, movement "Georgievtsy!", As well as close to the nationalists "Association of Parents committees and communities” and the Native Party (supporters of the “Ringing Cedars” movement Russia").

A small group under the Russkiy Mir banner presented a streamer with images of Suvorov, Catherine II and for some reason the white generals Markov and Drozdov.

The column also included a few representatives of the pro-Kremlin movements "Local" and "Young Guard".

The “Battle for Donbass” movement gathered supporters on Pushkin Square, however no separate column of movement was observed. "New Russia Relief Fund" in fact was represented by one participant.
