A criminal case has been opened in Naberezhnye Chelny over the publication of racist materials on a social network.

In March 2015 in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny of the Republic Tatarstan against a 32-year-old local resident was prosecuted under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code for publishing xenophobic social media content.

The case was initiated against a 32-year-old local resident, whom suspect that from 2009 to 2014 he published on his page in one of the social networks racist pictures with captions and photographs. Some of them reportedly called for xenophobic violence, while others contained images of Nazi symbols.

A preventive measure in the form of recognizance not to leave.
