St. Petersburg: the investigation into the case of a suspect suspected of complicity in the bombing of McDonald's in 2007 has been completed

In March 2015 in St. Petersburg in court the case against serviceman Vitaly Tsarenko, who is accused of complicity in organizing the explosion at McDonald's in February 2007.

In March 2015 in St. Petersburg there were the investigation of the case against the alleged accomplice of the explosion at McDonald's, which took place in St. Petersburg on February 18, 2007, has been completed.

A serviceman will soon be in the dock reconnaissance company Vitaly Tsarenko.

Recall that initially in the case of the organization the explosion was held by the storekeeper Fyodor Kovalchuk, the salesman Yevgeny Skorov, minor Vladimir Kosyakov and welder Alexander Petrishchev. They were sentenced in January 2009. Already then the investigation had data on the fifth participant of the action, but his identity was not established, and the case was separated into a separate proceeding. Now the consequence believes that the unidentified person was V. Tsarenko.

After being detained in September 2014, V. Tsarenko was charged charges under n. «a» h. 2 Article. 205 of the Criminal Code (commission of a terrorist act by a group of persons), but later case was reclassified. At this stage, the young man charged with Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism with the use of weapons), part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code (causing minor bodily harm, committed from hooligan motives) and part 2 167 of the Criminal Code (deliberate damage to another's property by explosion).

Considering that at the time of the of the alleged offense V. Tsarenko was a minor, and the explosion itself occurred more than 8 years ago, the statute of limitations for all charges have already expired.

The case has been referred to the court for essence.

Recall that in that criminal case, not only the episode with the explosion of "McDonald's", but also one more - the explosion of a flower stall near the metro station "Vladimirskaya", which occurred on February 4, 2007. So far, about the possible involvement of V. Tsarenko and this explosion was not reported.

Note that this is not the first criminal case in which V. Tsarenko.

In 2007, he and several other young people were arrested for accused of committing a series of racist attacks on visitors. Then V. Tsarenko was charged with part 3 of article 30 of the Criminal Code and subsections. “a, f, l” part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (attempt on the murder of two or more persons committed by a group of persons on the grounds of national hatred), as well as paragraph "a" part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred with violence or the threat of its use). The verdict in this case was handed down only in 2010, when the jury found V. Tsarenko not guilty of attempted murder murder and sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for inciting national hatred. However, he and several other defendants in the case were released from punishment due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.

Subsequently, V. Tsarenko filed a lawsuit with the Strasbourg Court, demanding to pay him compensation for unlawful detention. All the time investigation and trial in the case, he was under arrest. European Court of Rights man took his side and decided to pay him 27 thousand euros compensation.
