The President of Russia called on FSB officers to involve religious organizations in their work

26 March 2015, the President of the Russian Federation delivered a speech at the Lubyanka - within the framework of the FSB collegium.

The president thanked the employees of the department for "coordinated work and impeccable performance tasks”, the first of which is the fight against terrorism. For this work, V. Putin advises to actively involve members of religious organizations: “ It is necessary to strengthen measures to prevent terrorism, radicalism and extremism - especially among young people, migrants, socially disadvantaged groups, - more actively involve in this work authoritative public and religious associations ".

In addition to terrorists, V. Putin noted, under close scrutiny the attention of the FSB should continue to be public, non-governmental organizations and politicized associations. " We and further we will pay attention to the presence of foreign sources financing of non-governmental organizations, compare their statutory goals with practical work, and any violation - to stop ,” he said.
