A criminal case initiated against Ruslan Gazizov in connection with his participation in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir was sent to the Kirovsky District Court of Samara.
On March 27, 2015, the Prosecutor's Office of the Samara Region announced the completion of the investigation into case the Hizb ut-Tahrir . The criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 282.2 (participation in the activities of an extremist organization) and Part 1 of Art. 205.1 (assistance to terrorist activities) of the Criminal Code in respect of 27-year-old Ruslan Gazizov.
According to investigators, he posted on his page on the social network VKontakte video materials containing information about Hizb ut-Tahrir (which, at the initiative of the prosecutor's office of the Samara region, were later recognized by the court as extremist), and also held meetings for two years and " recruited future supporters of the said terrorist organization.” The investigation also believes that Gazizov is in various actions of Hizb ut-Tahrir in the Samara region and in Tatarstan.
The accused pleaded guilty.
The criminal case was sent to the Kirovsky District Court of Samara for consideration on the merits.
We assume that it was R. Gazizov who was mentioned in the January news about the detention of a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir, however, the discrepancy in the indication of the articles attracts attention (in the January news - article 205.2, in the present - article 205.1 of the Criminal Code ).
Recall that we consider it unlawful to accuse the followers of Hizb ut-Tahrir of propagating terrorism only on the basis of party activities (holding meetings, reading literature, etc.).
